Underwater Piles Cold Cutting
Singapore Strait Tuas Water Reclamation Plant Cutting and removal of steel piles from marine structures environment.
Location: Tuas, Singapore Year: 2019
McConnell Dowell engaged Aqua Prep for a critical phase of the Tuas Water Reclamation Plant project. The task involved removing multiple steel piles from existing marine structures.
These piles needed to be cut at least 500mm below the nal dredged seabed level, with minimal disturbance to the surrounding environment and other ongoing construction activities.
Viva Energy Cold Cutting
Aqua Prep developed a specialised cold cutting program for Viva Energy’s facility at Oyster Bay. This innovative technique was used to safely open a fuel tank, allowing for its cleaning and eventual demolition.
The cold cutting method, which avoids generating heat or sparks, was crucial for safely handling the potentially flammable environment of the fuel tank.
This project at the Oyster Bay site demonstrates Viva Energy’s commitment to safe and environmentally responsible decommissioning of their infrastructure.
