Bear Hill Reservoir Hydro Scabbling
Pensar and North East Water contracted Aqua Prep to prepare the concrete surface for polyurea application. Aqua Prep employed an Aqua Cutter 710V robot manufactured by Aquajet Systems, equipped with an Aqua Cutter Spine attachment.
This advanced equipment made the project more efficient and allowed the operator to work safely from a distance. After the surface preparation, Watertight Waterproofing was brought in to apply the polyurea system, known for its excellent protective and waterproofing properties.
This sequence demonstrates a well-planned approach to enhancing the durability of the concrete structure.
Warehouse Floor Hydro Scabbling
A 3200 sq meter warehouse floor was leveled using high-pressure water jetting (1400 bar) instead of traditional grinding. A vacuum truck collected the slurry during operation.
This method proved faster than grinding, with precise material removal creating a uniform surface ideal for epoxy coating.
Benefits included reduced dust, better cost-efficiency, and lower environmental impact through effective waste management.
